Health starts in the gut. The abdominal health check-up is a screening programme for people who want to take a proactive approach to their health, receive a comprehensive assessment of their digestive system and detect possible conditions at an early stage.

The programme brings together, in one place, a comprehensive set of examinations and specialist consultations, along with individual recommendations that help you look after your health and improve your quality of life and wellbeing.

The programme includes consultations with a family doctor and a nutritionist, in-depth examinations of the digestive system – including gastroscopy, colonoscopy and abdominal ultrasound – as well as laboratory and other diagnostic tests.

Family doctor consultation

Assessment of the patient’s general condition, physical examination, BMI, medical history, blood pressure check and discussion of the check-up programme plan.

Laboratory tests

Abdominal health laboratory panel: complete blood count + ESR, calprotectin, Helicobacter pylori antigen, Giardia lamblia antigen, transglutaminase IgA, transglutaminase IgG, HBsAg, Anti-HIV 1/2, HIV1 Ag, free T4, free T3, FSH, lipoprotein (a), triglycerides, LDL cholesterol, HDL cholesterol, total cholesterol, glycated haemoglobin (HbA1c), glucose, CRP, homocysteine, total protein, uric acid, creatinine, urea, alkaline phosphatase, alpha-amylase, GGT, AST, ALT, total bilirubin, 25-OH vitamin D (D3+D2), active vitamin B12 (holotranscobalamin), folic acid, ferritin.

Urinalysis, faecal occult blood test.

Abdominal ultrasound

Abdominal ultrasound is a safe and painless examination that allows the doctor to assess the structure and function of the liver, gallbladder, pancreas, spleen, kidneys and other abdominal organs.

Thyroid ultrasound

Thyroid ultrasound provides detailed information about the size, shape and structure of the gland. The examination can reveal nodules, cysts, signs of inflammation or other changes that may be related to thyroid dysfunction.

Gastroscopy (upper endoscopy)

The most accurate examination for a detailed internal view of the oesophagus, stomach and duodenum, diagnosing inflammation, ulcers, polyps, tumours and other changes in the gastrointestinal tract.

Colonoscopy (lower endoscopy)

One of the most accurate and informative methods for examining the colon and rectum. It allows the doctor to examine the intestinal lining in detail and detect polyps, inflammatory changes, ulcers, sources of bleeding, tumours and other changes that cannot always be identified by other diagnostic methods.

Bioimpedance

Bioimpedance, or body composition analysis, is a modern, non-invasive method used to determine the components of body weight – the amount of muscle, fat, water and minerals in the body.

Nutritionist consultation

A nutritionist is a healthcare professional who helps build healthy eating habits, manage weight and improve quality of life through appropriate nutrition. During the consultation, the specialist assesses the patient’s health status and eating habits and provides practical recommendations for improving quality of life.
