Information
Bioimpedance, or body composition analysis, is a modern, non-invasive method used to determine the components of body weight—the amounts of muscle, fat, water, and minerals in the body. During the test, a very weak and harmless electrical current is passed through the body, and based on tissue resistance, a computer calculates body composition.
This method allows you to:
- assess fat and muscle mass,
- determine fluid distribution in the body,
- calculate basal metabolic rate,
- monitor the results of weight management or treatment.
Bioimpedance is particularly useful in weight management programs, the development of nutrition plans, and the prevention of chronic diseases, as it provides much more precise information than just body weight.
